Privacy Policy
Chronon is built around personal timing and reflection. That means we handle sensitive information — birth details, daily readings, questions you ask, notes you save — and we take that seriously.
This page explains what we collect, why we collect it, and what control you have. It applies to the Chronon app (iOS and Android) and to chrononastro.com.

The short version
- We collect what you give us to make Chronon work — email, birth details, questions, reflections, and purchase status.
- We use that information to run the app, save your archive, and unlock features you pay for.
- We do not sell your data or run advertising profiles.
- We do not track your live location. Birth place is whatever you enter.
- You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your account at any time — request deletion here.
What we collect
Account
Your email address. We use it to sign you in (magic link), keep your profile across devices, and reply if you contact support.
Birth and chart details
To calculate your chart and timing, you provide birth date, birth time (or note that it is unknown or approximate), place of birth, timezone, and chart preferences such as house system and tone. We do not pull GPS from your phone — location comes from what you type in.
What you do in the app
When you use Chronon, we may store:
- Daily Pulse readings and your saved archive
- Questions you ask and the answers generated for you
- Timing reports you generate or unlock
- Relevance feedback and reflection notes you choose to save
- Which features or purchases are active on your account
Purchases
Subscriptions and one-time reports are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never see your card number. We do receive enough information from the store to confirm what you bought and whether it is still active.
Technical basics
Like most apps, we keep routine technical records — sign-in sessions, app version, platform, and server logs — so Chronon stays secure and reliable. Some data is also cached on your device (for example, a recent Daily Pulse or draft birth form) to make the app feel fast.
This website
Our marketing site is simple and static. We do not use ad trackers or analytics cookies here. Standard hosting logs may record things like page views and browser type.
How we use your information
We use your data to:
- Build your chart and deliver Daily Pulse, Time, Ask Chronon, and reports
- Save your archive and reflections when you ask us to
- Apply subscriptions, one-time purchases, and birthday offers correctly
- Keep the service secure, fix bugs, and respond to support requests
We do not use your birth chart or private notes to sell ads. We do not sell personal information to data brokers.
AI-generated text
Chronon's timing math is computed first. For some features — Daily Pulse wording, Ask Chronon answers, deeper reports — we send relevant context (your question, computed signals, chart facts) to an AI service to turn the numbers into readable language.
That output is for reflection only. It is not medical, financial, legal, or crisis advice. Your private reflection notes are not fed into the default free Daily Pulse or Ask Chronon flow.
When information leaves Chronon
We do not hand your data to advertisers. We do work with outside services that help us run the product — for example, cloud hosting, sign-in, email delivery, AI text generation, and payment verification through Apple or Google. Those partners only process data on our behalf to provide the service, not for their own marketing.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or if needed to protect someone's safety or enforce our terms. If Chronon were ever acquired, user data would transfer as part of that business change, still under privacy protections like these.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data while your account is active. Server logs are kept for a limited time. Data on your device stays until you clear app storage or uninstall.
If you delete your account, we remove your profile, archive, and related records from our active systems within a reasonable period. We may retain a small amount of information where the law, billing disputes, or security require it.
Your choices
You can:
- Update birth details and chart settings in the app
- Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple or Google account settings
- Request account and data deletion, or email us to access, export, or correct your data
Contact [email protected] for any privacy request. We may ask you to confirm your identity before making changes. Depending on where you live, you may also have additional rights under local privacy law.
Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and standard security practices. No system is perfect, but we design Chronon to treat birth data and personal reflections with care.
Where data is stored
Chronon may process and store information in countries other than where you live, including the United States and Canada. When required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
Children
Chronon is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child under 13 used Chronon, email us and we will delete the account.
California residents
You may request access to, deletion of, or correction of personal information we hold about you. We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-site advertising. Send requests to [email protected].
Changes
We may update this policy as Chronon evolves. When we do, we will post the new version here and change the date at the top. Meaningful changes will be reflected on this page before they take effect.

Advice disclaimer
